If it doesn’t ring any bells it should probably set off a few alarms.

A Fear Koan is… “It all began on a marvellously overcast and intermittently drizzly day in September 2007. More weather had been forecast for later in the day, but it was 9am and we were all brave little troopers out in the foul on a Friday morning. It was Dr. Brian Lowe’s “Social Problems” Honors course and we watched some political campaign ads of the past. He mentioned Koans. I mentioned how much of two of the ads we watched used fear.

And in my head a glorious idea blossomed and grew. It grew into Fear Koans.”

Fear Koans also includes the feature I used to call, Before Leaving for College.
